Kay McPherson and (husband Robert) married for 24 years and have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. In May of 2005 Quality Control Testing became a dream and goal comes true. With the community support and business we have gone from an 8x10 room to 5,000 square feet. We started out as drug and alcohol testing and has grown to a full occupational medical center with Workers comp doctors and medical treatment. I have served on the board of the YMCA as a director for 8 years and assisted in the new YMCA building project. I have served as Treasurer for the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce for 7 years and currently, on the Calhoun County Rodeo Assoc. for 15 years. Board member for the OLG Catholic School. Received Small business of the year award in 2010. Currently a director of the Cowboy Fellowship church. I enjoy riding horses, Trail riding, reading and sewing. I really enjoy Starting and assisting in new projects and business developments.

Richard Meyer our newly elected County Judge and Wife Jackie Meyer have been married for 43 years, 2 Children, Dr. Ty Meyers of Hospice of South Texas, wife Gabriela and six children. Daughter Leslie New, Husband Dr. Aaron New and 3 children, all of Victoria. Richard is a home grown boy born and raised in Port Lavaca. Richard has done numerous things in Calhoun County and has headed many Projects that have made a difference in many children and people lives. Richard has been a farmer, Rancher, Feed and Seed business, and brush cutting business currently. Richard has served the Calhoun County Rodeo Assoc. for 30 plus years. He has worked with the Hospice of South Texas for 10 years, 22 years as President of the Calhoun Cattlemen Association. He received the Calhoun County Chamber Agriculture award in 1988. In 2015 The Calhoun County Chamber Man of the Year Award. Richard has worked and devoted a lot of time to Calhoun County in so many aspects. When Richard is not working he enjoys his grandchildren and family gatherings.
