Rotarian of the Week
Brook House
Born and raised in Paris, Texas, Brook House has made her home in Port Lavaca for the last 4 years. She attended Paris Junior College and has her associates of Arts degree, where she worked for 10 years as a graphic designer in her hometown. She was editor-in-chief of her high school yearbook and received top ten honors in the United States for her senior book.
Brook currently works for the Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce as Director of Member Services and is actively involved in the community. She is currently on the Port Lavaca events committee, the Texas Coastal Bend Regional Tourism Council, Crime Stoppers Board, United Way Board, VP of Something More Foundation and recently became involved with the Calhoun County Fair Association. She helps manage many of the events in Port Lavaca including Iguana Fest, Star Spangled Bay Bash, Bayfront Beats, Christmas Festivities, Port Lavaca’s signature Flip Flop Festival and any thing else she can get her hands on.
Brook, her husband Trent House, and two fur-kids enjoy spending spare time on the bay in their boat, fishing and enjoying the amenities of Port Lavaca.

Robert K. Glenn, Ph. D.
Robert K. (Bob) Glenn became the 11th President of the University of Houston-Victoria on August 1, 2018. Dr. Glenn came to Victoria after ten years of service at Athens State University where his great grandfather, a Methodist minister, preceded him at Athens, having served as President of the institution when it was still a Methodist institution, Athens Female College, in 1902. Starting his career as a Hall Director, Dr. Glenn served at five other institutions, Birmingham-Southern College, University of North Alabama, Missouri State University, Middle Tennessee State University and Athens State University. He met his wife, Laura Whitehurst, while they were both students at Birmingham-Southern College. They married in 1978 and have three adult children.
