About the speakers:

1. Dr. Ty Meyer is a native of Port Lavaca and earned his Medical Degree from UT

Houston Medical School (now UT McGovern Medical School). He was trained in Internal Medicine in San Antonio and received subspecialty training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Audie Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio. In 2009, Dr. Meyer returned to the Crossroads as the Chief Medical Officer at Hospice of South Texas and lives in Victoria with his family. He remains involved in overseeing the daily care for patients served by Hospice of South Texas across 13 counties, as well as seeing patients and their families daily at the Dornburg Center of Compassion in Victoria.

2. Kim Moore is the Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice of South Texas. She lives in Victoria and has one daughter, Megan, and a 2 year old grandson, who reside in Port Lavaca, Texas. Kim joined HoST in October 2021 and oversees the 120 active volunteers. Kim is passionate about continuing to grow the volunteers whom assist the patients and their families across 13 counties. Our volunteers are the heart of Hospice of South Texas and we are blessed daily by what they do.
