About the Speaker: Chris Kovarek is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor who currently serves as the director of Memorial Medical Center’s Outpatient Behavioral Health and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab programs. Chris has over 30 years of experience in social services and behavioral health. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Work, as well has the following certifications:

Certified Activity Director – NCCAP (National Certification Council for Activity Professionals)

Primary Group Exercise Certification – AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America)

Certified Nutrition Coach – NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine)

Certified Laughter Yoga Leader

Better Breather’s Club Facilitator

In addition to work at Memorial Medical Center, Chris has been a fitness instructor at the Calhoun County YMCA for the past 18 years. Chris has spent her entire career helping others to improve their quality of life emotionally, physically, spiritually and socially.
