On Oct. 24, the Port Lavaca Rotary Club joined Rotary District 5930 in supporting the World’s Largest Polio Walk and Rotary International’s mission to End Polio Now!
Club members participating included President Nichole Contreras, Treasurer Skip Sockell, Service Chair Felicia Harold, International Service Chair Russell Cain, and Rotarian Paul Contreras and his wife, Dena Contreras. Members also gathered at Russell's Place on Sunday morning to raise awareness and show their support for RotaryPolioMoto.
The club proudly donated $500 toward polio eradication efforts. Thanks to Rotary’s global campaign, polio cases have decreased by more than 99% worldwide!
Together, through service, awareness and generosity, we continue working toward a world free of polio.
